Bookings for Akasa Air's Mumbai-Jeddah flights operating from Navi Mumbai International Airport opened on October 26, 2026. The transition builds on the airline's existing operations at NMIA, with the relocation of its Jeddah services expected to contribute to the airport's development as an important aviation gateway for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The region's dual-airport system is intended to provide travellers with greater choice and more convenient access to air travel as operations develop across both airports.
For passengers travelling to Jeddah, the change means Akasa Air's Mumbai-Jeddah services will depart from Navi Mumbai International Airport instead of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport from December 2026.
